The benthic macrofauna observation network SNO BenthOBS aims to have long time series along the French metropolitan and ultra-marine coasts in order to highlight and understand changes in specific diversity within benthic communities and their consequences on the functioning of coastal marine ecosystems.
BenthOBS combines the resources, skills and expertise of French marine laboratories to:
• CNRS
• IFREMER
• MNHN
• University of Lille
• University of Caen
• Sorbonne University
• University of Brittany
• University of La Rochelle
• University of Bordeaux
BenthOBS-B is a system to store data concerning benthic fauna in France, developed together by the network BenthOBS, i.e. a coalition of marine research stations from french universities, CNRS, MNHN and IFREMER.
An Roscoff Marine Station ABiMS-platform account is needed to log in the system. If you don't have this account, you can request one following this procedure:
After the CoPil BenthOBS-B has accepted the request, apply for an account to be opened on the ABiMS platform of the SBR:
